Give credit where credit is due--I stole this idea,
for these dictionary poems, from Laynie Browne,
a poet whose lines I stole and arranged into a poem
that will appear in The Nervous Filaments.

I don't think they "read" like her dictionary poems,
but that's for someone else to decide (or not).
The idea is quite simple. Pick a letter--by picking
a word if you'd like--or by simply opening a fat
dictionary. Then you use the text on a single
facing page. That's all there is to it.

I'm really fucking enjoying it, though, I must tell you.
